Introduction
These General Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the rental of vehicles from CARaki Rentals. By signing or electronically accepting the rental agreement, the customer (“Renter”) acknowledges having read, understood, and fully accepted these terms.

Driver Age and License Requirements
The renter and any additional driver must be at least 21 years of age.
The maximum driver age is 75 years.
Young driver surcharge for ages 21-22: 10€/Day additional. Vehicle category restrictions may apply. Insurance coverage restrictions may apply.
The driver must hold a valid driving license for at least 2 years.
For driving licenses in non-Latin characters, an International Driving Permit (IDP) is required.
A valid passport or ID is required at the time of pickup.

Reservations and Vehicle Categories
Reservations are made by vehicle category. A specific model is not guaranteed.
If the reserved vehicle is unavailable, a similar vehicle of the same category will be provided.
If no vehicle is available in the reserved category, a free upgrade may be offered

Rental Duration, Extensions and Late Return
The minimum rental period is 48 hours.
Rental extension is possible by contacting the company in advance.
A grace period of 60 minutes applies after the agreed return time.
In case of late return, 50% of the daily rental rate is charged.
No refund is provided for early return of the vehicle.

Payment Methods
Accepted payment methods: Credit card (online), Debit card (online), Cash on arrival, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Debit card on arrival, Credit card on arrival, Iris, Bank Transfer.

Insurance and Deposit
Excess and deposit amounts vary depending on the vehicle category. The exact amount will be displayed during the booking process in the insurance section.
Basic Insurance (CDW/TP) is included in the rental price. The renter is responsible for covering the full cost of any damage.
Standard Insurance is available, with an excess/deductible that varies by vehicle category.
A deposit is required for Standard Insurance (varies by vehicle category), payable by credit card, debit card or cash.
Full Insurance is available, with an excess/deductible that varies by vehicle category.

Fuel Policy
Same-to-Same: The vehicle is provided with a certain fuel level and must be returned at the same level.
If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, the missing fuel is charged at the current local retail price on the date of return.
No refund is provided for extra fuel.

Mileage Policy
The rental includes unlimited mileage.

Additional Drivers and Extras
Additional drivers are permitted. All additional drivers must meet the same eligibility requirements and be registered in the rental agreement.
The first additional driver is free of charge.
Fee for additional driver (beyond the first): €5 per day.
Available car extras:

Baby Seat: €5/day (max €50/booking)
Booster Seat: €3/day (max €30/booking)

Insurance Exclusions
Insurance coverage does NOT apply in the following cases:

Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
Unauthorized driver
Off-road driving
Use of wrong fuel
Loss of keys
Vehicle lockout (keys locked inside)
Interior damage
Roof or underbody damage
Unreported accident

Accidents, Damage and Traffic Fines
In the event of an accident, the renter must immediately notify the company.
A police report is required in every case of accident.
Taking photographs at the scene of the accident is recommended and/or required.
The renter is fully responsible for all traffic fines, parking tickets, and toll charges incurred during the rental period.

Vehicle Use Restrictions
The rental vehicle may only be used for lawful purposes on suitable public roads.
Only authorized drivers listed in the rental agreement are permitted to drive the vehicle.
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the vehicle.
Pets are not allowed inside the vehicle.

Delivery, Collection and After-Hours Service
Delivery/collection available at: Airport, Hotel.
After-hours service is available with the following charges:

9:00 PM – 9:00 AM: €15

Ferrying / Travel Restrictions
Transport or use of the vehicle outside the region/island is not permitted.

Cancellation, No-Show and Early Return
Free cancellation if made at least 7 days before pickup.
For cancellations between 7 days and 3 days before pickup, 30% of the amount is retained.
Cancellation within 3 days of pickup is not eligible for a refund.
In case of no-show, the reservation is automatically cancelled after 120 minutes.
No refund is provided in case of no-show.

Vehicle Return, Cleanliness and Inspection
Vehicle inspection upon return is conducted in the presence of a staff member.
The vehicle must be returned in a reasonably clean condition.

Data Protection and Privacy
The company collects and processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR – EU 2016/679).
Personal data is used exclusively for the purposes of the rental.
Data is shared with third parties only when required by law or by service providers for the operation of the rental.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece.
The competent courts are those of Lemnos.
